However, with the recent round of price increases by independent carriers and the promotions that Royal Mail are offering, they are now coming out as the cheapest option for nearly all bands of parcel rates.

For a Small Parcel up to 1kg, the Royal Mail are the cheapest on the market at only £2.50 per parcel. Other carriers will charge at least £1.95 more to send an item at this weight.
